Certain Hollywood producers are considering a re-make of the TV show the Partridge Family, but set in 2009.

Keith Ridge plays the rebellious child in a well-to-do Eastern Banking family who is the only one who enjoys music, often spending hours in his room listening to and performing Techno. On a whim, he submits a song he wrote himself to a radio contest, over-dubbing the harsh Techno pulsing with standard instruments and claiming that the song was performed by his musical family.

Unbelievably, the song wins the contest and "The Ridge Family" is asked to perform at a concert in Las Vegas. Keith convinces his family members to start taking music lessons and the first concert is performed via lip-synching.

The TV show explores the family as they balance their musical interests, their secret lack of musical skills, and their attempts to maintain their Establishment credentials.

The TV pilot introduces producer Reuben Kincaid, who helps re-write Keith's often immature song lyrics into versions that are performable, such as the one below.

The pilot episode was not well received, and the TV series has an uncertain future...

I'll Text You On My Phone (I'm On My Way Back Home)

Got on a silver plane and flew away,
chased all my rainbows to the end
I wish I knew then what I know today,
I'll text you on my phone again

Love --
that's what's waitin' for me,
that's where I've got to be
Just to look in your eyes,
feel your lips touchin' mine

CHORUS:
I'll text you on my phone, gonna fly
I'll text you on my phone, gonna fly
I'll text you on, I'll send text on my phone to you

BRIDGE:
I remember when you told me I'd return
You knew even then something I had to learn
It's so far and yet it's right there where you live
It's something that you get only when you give and it's

Love --
that's what's waitin' for me,
that's where I've got to be
Just to look in your eyes,
feel your lips touchin' mine

CHORUS:
I'll text you on my phone, gonna fly
I'll text you on my phone, gonna fly
I'll text you on, I'll send text on my phone to you

I'll text you on my phone, gonna fly
I'll text you on my phone, gonna fly
I'll text you on, I'll send text on my phone to you
